10.8.15 BAck Out

Finally made it back out on the ocean after all that northeast wind and our charter was rewarded with some decent mahi fishing on spinning gear and a nice 67lb yellowfin on the chunk. Water is still 72 degrees out there and hopefully it will get better as the ocean settles down
Picture

9.17.16 Yellowfin mahi wahoo

Started marlin fishing no love from the poormans to the 800 square. Switched over to tuna fishing and ended up with 5 in the box with a 74lber in an hour. Also had a small wahoo and 25 mahi on the troll while trying to catch a few marlin. Great day on the water, flat seas and great company today

9.12.15 Yellowfin

Great day on the ocean today after a few days off, headed to the Washington after hearing of a decent bite last light on the tunas. Started hitting the balls and scratched a charter limit, thank god for only 3 guys cause there weren't many. A few here and there. Started heading off shore to a break other boats were fishing until another boat told us the just pulled off 2 big yellowfins so we changed a few things up and put the marlin stuff away and pulled the tuna stuff out. Right away we hooked into a nice yellowfin and pulled him off right behind the boat. Next had a blue marlin fire in on and ate the planner, then turn and ate the spoon next. Yup first for that. Few other bites on the troll catching 2 yellowfins and straightened a hook on a bigeye. Last half hour we tried chunking and killed 3 more tunas, overall mahi limit and 5 yellowfins in the box.

9.12.15 First Time Out

Started just south of the Baltimore and hit a few balls for some mahi, trolled south toward the poormans and found some weed beds that had some nice mahi under them. Ended up with 39 before the group said they had enough. Continued toward the 030 line were boats found a small group of whites and ended up 2 for 4. Nothing like hearing a group of guys saying how awesome of a trip they had for their first time out.

Trolled for along time without any other bites then right before dark we hooked 2 in the whales. Catching 1 106lb out of the pair and breaking the other off on a whale. Set the spread back out and Capt.Rob said get ready I'm marking em and there goes the left long. 19minutes later 224lb bigeye on the deck. Great afternoon on the water
