9.12.15 YellowfinGreat day on the ocean today after a few days off, headed to the Washington after hearing of a decent bite last light on the tunas. Started hitting the balls and scratched a charter limit, thank god for only 3 guys cause there weren't many. A few here and there. Started heading off shore to a break other boats were fishing until another boat told us the just pulled off 2 big yellowfins so we changed a few things up and put the marlin stuff away and pulled the tuna stuff out. Right away we hooked into a nice yellowfin and pulled him off right behind the boat. Next had a blue marlin fire in on and ate the planner, then turn and ate the spoon next. Yup first for that. Few other bites on the troll catching 2 yellowfins and straightened a hook on a bigeye. Last half hour we tried chunking and killed 3 more tunas, overall mahi limit and 5 yellowfins in the box.

9.12.15 First Time Out
Started just south of the Baltimore and hit a few balls for some mahi, trolled south toward the poormans and found some weed beds that had some nice mahi under them. Ended up with 39 before the group said they had enough. Continued toward the 030 line were boats found a small group of whites and ended up 2 for 4. Nothing like hearing a group of guys saying how awesome of a trip they had for their first time out.

The one blue ate the plug on the 80 and while clearing the spread the second ate the dink bait on the left flat. Over all charters first billfish and great memories

SHARKS were horrible!!!
Fished the Washington tonight, SHARKS were horrible!!!! Caught 9 small yellowfin tuna and 1 decent one that we would call 30lbs. Every time we thought we got the right bite it ended up being a shark. Boys had fun jigging me up though and that's all that counts, rods bent and customers laughing thanks to Dougie!!!!

search of the mighty bigeyes
Great way to end a 3 day charter with the Don Pyle group!!! Left the dock today in search of the mighty bigeyes around 1pm. Started white marlin fishing with no luck. Started seeing slicks popping up so we switched over to our main goal. 2 rods in and had a 57lb yellowfin in the box. Trolled for along time without any other bites then right before dark we hooked 2 in the whales. Catching 1 106lb out of the pair and breaking the other off on a whale. Set the spread back out and Capt.Rob said get ready I'm marking em and there goes the left long. 19minutes later 224lb bigeye on the deck. Great afternoon on the water

Big EyeTraveled late to the Washington Canyon hooking up with 2 bigeye. One tipping the scales at 207 and another at 161. Bite came around right after sunset trolling around a large fleet. One first time angler and a long time angler with a long awaited 1st big eye. Great job by both bringing these monsters to the boat in record time. Stay tuned for video later this week.
