The first boats came with the 6:00pm bridge, and the Milling Around weighed a yellowfin tuna of 61 lbs. Next, the Stream Weaver weighed a 68.5 pound white marlin that was just 1 1/2 pounds under the 70 pound minimum.
The A-Lure made the 6:30 bridge and weighed a monster 202.5 lbs big eye tuna that jumped into first place worth over $300,000. Next, the Amarula Sun, (a 82' Viking big enough to block the sun) weighed a 66.5 pound wahoo good for first place. The top spot was short lived however as then the Canyon Runner arrived just after 7:00 pm with 2 fish that caused a swing of over $250,000 in prize money. The first, a 70.5 pound jumped to first and now holds $16,000.
